Nikos Giatsoglou is a Research Assistant at the Information Technologies Institute (ITI) of the Centre for Research & Technology Hellas (CERTH). Nikos’ academic journey started with telecommunications, conducting research for the 5th generation of mobile networks (EU MSCA 5Gwireless project). Since then, he has moved on to multimedia processing with AI tools, specifically, the detection of AI-generated synthetic media (deepfakes). His broader interests include the uncertainty quantification of AI models and the fundamental question of what information can fit in an mathematical vector.
