Juli Bakagianni is a Research Associate at the MeVer Research Lab of the Information Technologies Institute (ITI), Centre for Research & Technology Hellas (CERTH). Her research focuses on automated fact-checking, evidence retrieval, and reliable language technologies, with an emphasis on Natural Language Processing (NLP) and trustworthy AI.

Prior to joining MeVer, she worked on NLP research across academic and industry settings, contributing to projects in food safety analytics, digital humanities, and toxicity detection for user-generated content. Her work leverages machine learning methods to address challenges in language understanding and AI reliability.
